Standing Committees

The Denny’s Franchisee Association Board of Directors has nine standing committees; four of which are Brand focused and five which are Member focused.  If you are interested in communicating to a committee, you may click on the Chairman to send an email.

Brand Focused

Development

Robert Duskin, Chair

The development committee works with corporate leadership to optimize return on investment (ROI) in regard to capital expenditures to include remodels. The committee is also involved in design evolution and alternative sources of income for restaurants.

Marketing

The marketing committee coordinates activities and input to corporate leadership where advertising and marketing matters are discussed, and is proactive in identifying and resolving critical marketing issues that affect the brand, its attribute ratings and its ability to grow profitable sales. The committee participates in conference calls on a regular basis with Denny’s marketing regarding time sensitive issues.

Operations

The operations committee coordinates activities and input to corporate leadership from the DFA on operational matters, and is proactive in identifying and resolving critical operational (store level) issues, which affect the brand, its attribute ratings and its ability to grow profitable sales.

Strategic Supply Chain

The strategic supply chain committee works with corporate leadership on strategic supply chain management to ensure cost effective purchasing and distribution of food and supplies for the brand, along with aggressively pursuing new opportunities or programs to benefit the profitability of Denny’s restaurants.

The communications committee facilitates communication through Dennys.org, the DFA newsletter, electronic DFA Broadcasts and this DFA Directory and Buyer’s Guide.

Finance

The finance committee reviews and approves budgets, monthly and annual expenses for all DFA activities, projects and tasks.

Legal

The legal committee reviews contracts between the DFA and our vendors and interacts with corporate on legal issues that affect the overall franchisee membership.

Membership

The membership committee is focused on maintaining and increasing membership and providing relevant member benefits. The membership committee coordinates with the communications committee to ensure DFA members receive information from the Board on a regular basis that affects our community.

Special Events

The special events committee is responsible for producing world-class DFA member special events including, but not limited to the DFA Convention and Allied Partner Summit.
