Please note the Convention & Trade Show footprint is different this year. The 2024 Convention & Trade Show does take place over a weekend.

The DFA Convention and Trade Show is an opportunity to interact with fellow franchisees, suppliers and Denny’s corporate leadership as we work together to build the Brand! While we have dedicated sessions for information and interaction along with an outstanding vendor trade show, our conventions are not all business.

It is because of the generosity of DFA Sponsors that the DFA is able to host its Annual Convention and Trade Show.

FRANCHISEES:  A $200 registration fee applies to each franchisee attendee. All attendees must be registered — each attendee should complete the registration form.

SUPPLIERS:  Trade Show Booth package includes registration for two attendees.

Please be note that after Saturday, SEPTEMBER 7th – room availability and DFA discounted rates are not guaranteed. Contracted room rate is $253 per night ++ for Classic and Superior rooms and $289 ++ per night for Premier.

Any changes to your hotel reservations should be made directly through the hotel. Upon completion of your Convention & Trade Show registration and Hotel reservation, you will receive your reservation confirmation by e-mail.  Please refer to your hotel reservation and confirmation for deposit and cancellation policies.

Please note that if you do not stay at the host hotel you will be charged a fee of $1,200. The DFA does commit to a room block for each event and if the room block is not met the DFA has to cover the commitment.

Our Members

Franchisee members receive an exclusive invitation for $200 per person. Each attendee must register.

Registration fee through September 15th:  $200 per person (two attendees per paid unit)
Registration fee September 16th through October 1st: $300 per person
Registration fee after October 1st: $500 per person

In order to attend the Convention and Trade Show your 2024 DFA Franchisee Membership dues must be current. Membership is $200 per unit (15-unit cap), after June 30th Membership is $400 per unit (15-unit cap).

Shaun was born and raised on Vancouver Island, Canada. He came to the United States on a hockey scholarship where he played four years in the Ivy League at Dartmouth College. While at Dartmouth, he graduated with high honors and a double major in Psychology and Sociology. He then played eight years in the minor leagues serving as the captain of the New Mexico Scorpions before his career culminated with an opportunity to play for the Calder Cup with the American League’s Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins. A chance meeting with a fan then afforded him an opportunity to work in NASCAR as a Jackman on a pit crew for the next 12 years where he was a part of the Red Bull Racing Crew that won the 2008 World Pit Crew Championships. In 2013 he was approached to coach the Chip Ganassi Pit Crew Department. The Ganassi Pit Crew Department was the first Pit Crew to ever receive the Comcast Community Champions Award for their dedication to help those in need. He currently resides in Davidson, NC with his wife Jane. He is an avid reader and feels most alive when he is hiking in the mountains. He truly believes that there is more knowledge and wisdom in Rudyard Kipling’s poem “If” than most 4 year degree programs.

As a NASCAR pit crew coach we have to assemble and train 5 people to change four tires and add two cans of fuel in a race car in 12 seconds.
